Hand-painted and kettle dyed yarns. To acheive the long colour runs in their Flux and Ombré yarns they have developed their own dyeing process. Though labour intensive, the hands-on nature of the process allows them to ensure an even consistency in the yarn and colours over multiple dye lots.
Their method also means that though their yarns will match very well from one dye lot to the next, no two balls of yarn will ever be the same. This is most apparent in their “Flux” range where the knitted fabric will have painterly variations that are made more dramatic as the stitch pattern simplifies.
However Tina does it, Loop is crazy about Freia yarns. Beautiful to look at and to knit with.
