FROG TREE ALPACA is a great choice for a lightweight yet warm garment.
Frog Tree Alpaca Yarn is produced by a women's non-profit cooperative in Peru. The owners of Frog Tree don’t take any salaries for their work and any excess funds generated by them goes right back into the community towards education.
At the cooperative they start with the raw alpaca fibers and go through the entire process of sorting the fibers according to color, cleaning, spinning and dyeing the yarn. The resulting 29 colours on offer (as well as an undyed alpaca yarn) are beautiful.
