Kate Jackson Knits Patterns
Kate Jackson learned to knit after high school, and was drawn to designing patterns for hand knitting while earning her degree in fashion design from Kent State University.
She knew that she wanted to pursue my creative passions locally, and had dreams of opening her own yarn store. Soon after graduating from college, Kate became the proprietor of Knitting on the Square, a friendly yarn shop in Chardon, Ohio, where her creativity is fueled by constant access to great yarn and real knitters.
She has had designs published in magazines such as Vogue Knitting and Knitscene, as well as several books, including Alt Fiber and Bag Style. Many of her designs are created in response to customer requests or shop experiences, and she especially enjoy working with natural fibers and flattering shapes.
When she's not at the shop, she'll be at home with her husband and two daughters, trying to knit "just one more row". |
