Schoolhouse Press Books
Schoolhouse Press was founded in the mid-1950's by British-born masterknitter, Elizabeth Zimmermann
In 1965 Meg Swansen joined her mother in business and in 1981, with Meg’s husband Chris, Schoolhouse Press began to publish knitting books and produce instructional knitting videos for both television and home use.
Elizabeth died in 1999. Meg continues to write the semi-annual Wool Gathering, plus a regular column for Vogue Knitting. Cully Swansen, following in his father Chris's footsteps, has transferred many of the video titles to DVD and has also filmed a number of new knitting DVDs with Meg. The wools, books and tools Schoolhouse Press offers are the cream of the crop, gathered from around the world and we continue to be excited by possibilities for new products and designs. |
