"While those of us who live in the US are celebrating Thanksgiving, the olive harvest is underway in Italy. I love the way these events are connected by a shared spirit of peace, family and friends. When I thought about the motifs for this shawl I imagined a beautiful olive grove under a starlit November sky."

Olives in November is a curved, triangular shawl, worked from one narrow point outward. Alternating panels of slipped stitches and lace adorn the body of the shawl followed by a narrow, edging that is worked around all three sides.

Both charts and line by line written instructions are given for the stitch patterns.
