Just have them on display, or indulge in a bit of experimental knitting; tear fabric up into strips, use wide ribbon, plastic bags, leather strips or multi strands of yarn- whatever takes your fancy!
Before using the needles for the first time it is best to rub them with a bit of beeswax or olive oil.
