A traditional English tea cosy
Materials
- 100 (140, 175) yards, (91 (128, 160) m) of Aran / 10ply (UK) worsted (US) weight yarn.
Use a firm, smooth yarn that will allow the texture of the cables to be highlighted.
- 4.5mm (US 7) straight needles or size needed to obtain gauge. Two double pointed needles in the same size.
Size
To fit 2 (4, 6) cup tea pots
Gauge
20 sts = 4" (10 x 10cm) in stockinette stitch. 32 sts = 4" (10 x 10cm) in pattern stitch.
