Lovely lace triangles sway back and forth between lines of purled garter stitch, creating a soothing pattern with comforting thermal warmth.
Based on an Estonian stitch pattern, this lace blanket can be edged either with garter stitch or scalloped lace at the top and bottom.
Materials
- 4 ply / Fingering: 1250 yards (1143 m); 4mm (US 6) needles
- 8ply / DK: 1050 yards (960m); 5mm (US 8) needles
- Aran / 10 ply / Worsted: 850 yards (777m); 6mm (US 10) needles
Size
About 34" (86cm) wide by 40" (102cm) long.
This will vary some between yarn weights and with the amount of blocking. Instructions are given for three yarn weights.
Gauge
4 ply / Fingering: 22 sts = 4" (10cm)
8ply / DK: 18 sts = 4" (10cm)
Aran / 10 ply / Worsted: 14 sts = 4" (10cm)
