Mimster Kit - Mosaic Embroidery Rabbit
How beautiful and adorable is this?! A FABULOUS NEW KIT FROM TOMOMI MIMURA OF MIMSTERMADE AT LOOP!
A unique technique that uses drawing in a mosaic-like style using darning-like embroidery, pioneered by Tomomi Mimura, the founder of "mimster". Her whimsical and colourful worldview is mainly created using the technique of mosaic darning embroidery.
Kit includes:
- needle- mimster yarn- pattern printed fabric- filling (cotton)- instruction in English*You will need an embroidery hoop and sewing material to sew up the rabbit.
Finished Rabbit approximately 20cm in height

Tomomi Mimura is from the southern island of Okinawa and currently lives near Tokyo. She is an artist and a creator of mosaic-darning. Tomomi came across mosaic tiles in Guell park in Barcelona which served as inspiration to create her unique "darning embroidery" for her whimsical illustrations made of darning pieces or "tiles".
We have been honoured to welcome Tomomi to Loop from Japan, with Naho of Enneste, for workshops and have loved having her books, kits, yarn, and haberdashery for her unique mosaic darn-embroidery in the shop.
