Kate Davies - Tir Chonaill Wrap/Blanket

Well-produced full-colour booklet by wonderful Kate Davies.

This richly coloured wrap or blanket was inspired by medieval tapestries. Tír Chonaill was the name of the last independent Gaelic sovereignty in Ireland: a kingdom which, until the Flight of the Earls in 1607, covered most of what later became County Donegal.

Tír Chonaill is knit in the round, steeked, and finished with a steek sandwich and i-cord edging.

Yarn Requirements: Donegal Yarns “Soft Donegal” in the following shades: Shade 5207 (MC) (400 yards), Shade 5202 (CC1) (350 yards), Shade 5231 (CC2) (110 yards) & Shade 5238 (CC3) (207 yards)

Other Aran weight yarns can be subsituted

Please note that this pattern is sold as a physical copy; it is not a PDF.
