Please could you bring some damaged garments, (preferable knitted surfaces) and scissors.
Loop and Hikaru will provide a great range of threads and yarns for you to play with on the day but if you have any you would like to use, feel free to bring those along.
Loop also stocks Hikaru's wonderful book
on visible mending and surface stitching.
We are so thrilled to welcome Hikaru to Loop. When we first opened in 2005, Hikaru Noguchi's knitted garments were one of the very first handmade collections we stocked. I have long loved her whole aesthetic and it has been a joy over the years to see her work evolve. To see her stitched embroidery on knit is now so inspiring and she, along with Celia Pym and a handful of others, is a master at it.
