Once again Ginko is another pattern inspired by the Japanese culture: kimonos, simplicity and origami.

“Ginko is a very simple top knit in one piece from the bottom up. Stitches are provisionally cast on for the sleeves while the two sides of the neck and the back are completed. Once the shaping of the neck and the back are done the two pieces are joined together. Then the provisional stitches are carefully unzipped and bound off with the second set of live stitches for the sleeves. A few more rows of stockinette and the body is done. Then the two side are then joined with a mattress stitch.”

Gingko can easily be modified to adjust the lenght of the sweater itself, or to make shorter sleeves.

The pattern is available in 8 different sizes to fit from a 32” to a 46” bust, and it is intended to be worn with 3-4” of positive ease.
