The Crochet Project - Alyssium Cardigan

A pretty cardigan, perfect for layering in spring, summer and autumn. 
Using simple stitches and a seamless construction, this cardigan is almost as effortless to make as it is to wear.

XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X) 
To fit bust: 76 (86, 97, 107, 117, 127, 137) cm / 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54) in 
Finished bust measurement: 82 (92, 102, 114, 123, 133, 142) cm / 32.5 (36.5, 40.5, 45, 48.5, 52.5, 56) 
Designed to be worn with approx 5 cm/2 in ease at bust

Materials 
4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6) hanks of Eden Cottage Yarns Pendle 4 ply (100% Superwash merino, 100g/400m/436yd) in Dusk.

3.5mm hook 
2.5mm hook

9 buttons 1 cm diameter 
Needle and thread 
Tapestry Needle.

Tension 
18 sts and 11 rows in V stitch to 10cm/4” using 3.5mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension.)

Skills used 
Basic stitches, working in back loops, working into row ends, working in rounds, short rows (fully explained in pattern.)

Construction 
Top down set in sleeve worked seamlessly. Worked in pieces to armhole then joined and body worked as one piece. Sleeve caps are formed using short rows (fully explained in pattern)
