Punch Needle Class with Duygu Turgut Gökpinar

Beginner Level / 3 hours

Saturday October 16th : 10:30 - 1:30 pm  The morning class is sold out.
Saturday October 16th: 2:30pm - 5:30 pm The afteroon class is sold out.

*You have the option to purchase the materials for this class or you can book the class without the materials if you have your own.

Material Bundle will include:

30x30 wooden frame

Amy oxford Punch needle regular 10

Monk's cloth

Yarn (for common use)

For students bringing their own supplies; you will need:

  • Embroidery frame or hoop
  • Oxford punch needle regular 10 or a needle which is equivalent to this one
  • Monk's cloth
  • Yarn (bulky)
  • You can also bring your own patterns

Duygu will be providing scissors, pencils, tape etc. for all the participants so they do not need to bring any other material or tools except for the ones listed above .

Class description:

In this class, you will get step-by-step instruction from Duygu Turgut Gökpinar on the fundamentals of how to use a punch needle, how to create a pattern and transfer it onto the fabric. Besides detailed information about the materials such as yarn, fabric, frames and hoops will be provided. The class will last about 2.5 hours and you will be leaving with a finished project once the workshop is over. You can take your project home and either turn it into a wall hanging, a cushion, bag, coaster and many other items. 

In this class you will:

* learn how to use the punch needle
* learn how to design a pattern suitable for punch needle embroidery
* learn how to transfer pattern onto fabric
* get detailed information about the supplies
* be aware of key points of this embroidery
* have a chance to explore different samples
* learn how to finish and transform a project

About the Instructor:

Duygu Turgut Gökpınar is one of Turkey's most followed DIY makers. With a passion for punch needle, Duygu left her teaching career behind to pursue her dreams and founded her own studio “Good Things” to  run workshops and work as a multi-dimensional maker. 

This class will be held in our London Shop with a maximum of 6 students per class. 
100% deposit is required at registration.

Cancellation policy: 
A full refund of payment for the class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled by another student, minus a 10% admin fee. Please be considerate.
We reserve the right to cancel a class in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this wherever possible, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. In this situation, of course, a full refund will be given.
We're sorry but Loop can not be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions or any other situations that are out of its' control.
If we need to cancel the class due to any unforeseen lockdown measures in London we will of course offer you a full refund or shop credit (whatever your preference is).
