Limited Edition Hand-dyed Organic Wool Yarn from Hannah Fettig of Knitbot - Loop Exclusive is now here!
Loop only has a very small amount of what was a wonderful Summer 16 project for Hannah Fettig resulting in Wool Trip Yarn.
We are truly honoured that we have some of this special one-of-a-kind yarn.
"One of the highlights of our summer 2106 was producing our own small batch of yarn. Without traveling more than a day's driving distance from our house, we picked up wool from Noon Family Sheep Farm
in Maine, drove it to the Green Mountain Spinnery in Vermont to be scoured and spun into yarn, and dyed the yarn with Julie Asselin and Jean-Francois Mallette in Quebec!
The result is a durable yarn with a pleasant hand and it's own unique personality. Like the people who put their skills and effort into making it, it's warm, friendly, and hard working. It's beautiful without being fussy. And it smells great!
Wool Trip is a woolen spun worsted weight yarn, so would work for many patterns. Each yarn purchase of Wool Trip comes with a free pattern 'The Wool Trip Crew Neck' in case you would like to knit that with it.Yarn details:
